What foods increase stamina.

 Stamina, that elusive quality that we all desire, is a parameter that not only professional athletes need to excel in their chosen sport, but also everyday people who want to perform daily tasks with ease and feel good throughout the day. But where does our energy go? Sometimes, it seems to just vanish into thin air, leaving us feeling lethargic and depleted. Could it be that we are eating the "wrong" foods that are sapping our endurance?



This is not just mere speculation, but a scientifically proven fact backed by research. Dr. Neil Bernard, a well-known authority on the subject, delved deep into this issue and wrote the book "Sizzling Temptation: The Temptation of Meat," where he reveals the shocking results of his experiments.

In one of his most interesting experiments, Dr. Bernard divided two groups of professional athletes from Sweden into two different diet plans. The first group consumed meals that were high in carbohydrates, while the second group ate foods that were rich in proteins and fats. After three days of such meals, the results were staggering: the first group, which predominantly consumed carbohydrates, was three times more durable than the second group. The experiment was set up so that both groups performed the same activities, yet the first group was able to perform them for an astonishing 167 minutes, while the second group could only last for a mere 57 minutes.

Dr. Bernard's findings led him to believe that the average person consumes on a daily basis those products that can catastrophically reduce their endurance levels. For instance, products like bread, that are often viewed as harmless, do nothing useful for the body. Instead, it clings to the walls of the intestine, making it harder for the body to function. It then swells and causes acidification, which actively consumes the body's energy instead of providing it.

To combat this problem, it is important to consume natural energy boosters that contain carbohydrates. Some of the best foods that can help replenish the body's supply of glycogen, a substance crucial for energy in muscles, include apples, bananas, spinach, berries, tomato juice, beets, raisins, and many others.

To achieve optimal endurance, Dr. Bernard recommends that each person consume about 10 grams of carbohydrates per each kg of their body weight every day. This dose will serve as an excellent doping for the body's stamina, helping people to overcome feelings of lethargy and fatigue, and increase overall performance.
